Overnight Accommodations

Mound Ridge Camp and Retreat Center can accommodate up to 103 people in overnight lodging. Pillows, blankets or linens are not provided. Optional linen service is available for The Lodge, Mace and Kickapoo for a fee.

 

Year Round Facilities

Retreat Lodge

The Retreat Lodge is equipped for groups of up to 15 people. It has six bedrooms, three half baths, four full baths (one handicapped-accessible) and a meeting room with a fireplace. The Lodge is divided into three sections: three bedrooms with two half baths and two full baths on the North, one bedroom and full bath in the middle, and two bedrooms with a half bath and a full bath on the South. All bedrooms are furnished with twin beds. A furnished kitchen is available for groups to do their own cooking. Optional linen service is available.

The group rate is $375.00 per night.

The group rate is $385.00 per night.

Quapaw Cabin

Quapaw can accommodate up to 20 people. The cabin has two separate units, each with a bath. Bunk beds sleep ten in each unit.

The group rate is $400.00 per night.

Other Non-Profit groups

The group rate is $410.00 per night.

 

Meramec Cabin

The Meramec Cabin can accommodate 2 people. The cabin contains one queen bed, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. The cabin can be rented for a minimum of two nights.  Linen service is included.

The two night rate is $75.00 for one person, $80 for two people.

Other Non-Profit groups

The two night rate is $85.00 for one person, $90 for two people.

 

Kickapoo Duplex

Kickapoo can accommodate 5 people. Each side of the duplex has a bath, twin beds, and is furnished with a coffee pot and small refrigerator. Optional linen service is available.

The rate is $45.00 per night for one person, $60.00 per night for two people, and $75.00 per night for three people.

Other Non-Profit groups

The rate is $55.00 per night for one person, $70.00 per night for two people, and $85.00 per night for three people.

 

Non-Winterized Facilities

3/4 Season Cabins

Osage, Choctaw and Chippewa cabins can accommodate 18 people in each cabin for a grand total of 54. Each cabin has two sides separated by a screened front porch. Each side has a bath, two open closets, and sleeps 8 in bunk beds. The screened porch sleeps 2.

The group rate is $310.00 per night.

Mace Cottage

The cottage can accommodate up to 5 people. Mace cottage can be used above 35° F. It has a screened front porch and two bedrooms, each with a separate bath, coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. One bedroom has twin beds and the other has one double bed with single upper. Optional linen service is available.

Weeknight Discount
There is a $10.00 discount per night for Sunday through Thursday lodging.

 

Tent/RV Camping

Tent Camping areas are plentiful; R.V. parking is limited.

The rate is $8.00 per night per tent/vehicle, $2.00 per night electric hook ups.

Food Service

Carefully prepared meals are served family-style in the Dining Hall. Groups that use The Lodge may prepare their own meals in the kitchen located in this building for an additional fee. With advance notice, we will do our best to accommodate special dietary needs (diabetic, allergies, etc.) Evening snacks may be provided at a cost of $1.00 per person.

$15.00 per person for up to 20 people includes vest, paddles and shuttle to Meramec River. Contact camp director for rates for parties larger than 20 people.

 

River Use

$5.00 per tube for camp use only - no shuttle service.

Usage Policies

Arrival and Registration

All guests and visitors must register at the Welcome Center. Every effort should be made for campers, or at least an advance representative, to arrive prior to 9:00 pm. The Site Manager will be available to check in guests at the Welcome Center and direct them to their lodging.

 

Sleeping Areas, Rest Rooms, Recreation Hall, Conference Building

  • Basic housekeeping details, such as sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning toilets and wash basins, picking up trash, etc., need to be done daily and prior to checking out.

  • Furniture is to remain where you find it upon arrival.  Beds and mattresses are not to be moved from one room to another, nor from the buildings.

  • The placing of graffiti on walls, mattresses and bed frames is forbidden.  Groups will be charged for cleanup.

  • Persons are asked to use the equipment in the Recreation Hall properly.

  • Fire extinguishers are not playthings. There is a restitution fee of $25.00 for each extinguisher that is misused.

Dining Hall

  • Normal meal times are Breakfast at 8:00 am, Lunch at 12:00 noon, and Supper at 5:00 pm. Time changes can be made in advance by arrangement with the Registrar.

  • Groups will assign hoppers for each meal to assist the setting of tables and cleanup after the meal. Hoppers are to report to the Dining Hall 15 minutes before each meal.

  • Table manners will be observed during meals. Proper clothing will be worn in the Dining Hall.

  • Kitchen is off limits except for the preparation of snacks or use of the restroom.

Camping Area

Camping or parking vehicles in the pavilion is prohibited. Electric hookups are available at the pavilion.

 

General Information

  • All hiking should be done in groups of at least two people.

  • Basic water safety rules apply when using the river for activities. A water safety qualified individual must be present at all times.

  • Smoking is not allowed inside buildings; limit smoking to outdoor areas. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly, do not discard them on the grounds.

  • Food and soft drinks are discouraged in the cabins.

  • Telephones for emergency use are located at the back door of the Dining Hall, in the Welcome Center and in the Camp Office. To make long distance calls, all guests must use calling cards.

  • For emergency, dial 9-1-1 from hard line only (not cell phones). St. James Police non-emergency number is 265-7212.

  • Camp address is 33 Agape Lane, off Mound Ridge Road, located off Highway 8 on right hand side of road before Meramec bridge.

  • First Aid supplies are located in the back room of the Dining Hall and in the Lodge Kitchen and are to be dispensed by the group leader.

  • An AED Defibrillator and rescue oxygen are located at the First Aid Station in the Dining Hall.

  • Recreation equipment available when requested with application and usage fee. Those receiving the equipment will be asked to sign out items and be responsible for their return. Restitution for missing and damaged items are the responsibility of the group.
